Prueba de lo anterior es, por una parte, que el positivismo como filosofía continúa al servicio de las clases en el poder y ve a la educación como un instrumento para reproducir ese poder y, por otra parte, que ha conducido a la sociedad a la globalización manteniéndose en este nuevo contexto que está aún en construcción. Tendremos que hablar—entonces—de la necesidad de un neopositivismo, de un positivismo dialéctico o de un positivismo transdisciplinario para estar en condiciones de abordar el problema de la educación superior que se complejiza cada vez más. En pocas palabras el positivismo ha institucionalizado la educación en América Latina previa generación de una teoría científica.
